The Anadarko Chamber of Commerce is hosting a community event for volunteers to help pick up litter in town on Saturday, April 23rd. We are asking volunteers to show up at Anadarko City Hall, 501 W. Virginia Ave, Anadarko, OK 73005 at 10:00 a.m. There will be a free lunch provided for those who participate.

Anadarko residents who want to help clean up their hometown will get their chance with this event which coincides with the Great American Cleanup, a national campaign that encourages people to pick up trash in their neighborhoods. “We hope to have a good list of RSVPs so that way we know how many areas we can work with and how best to use our resources,” said chamber director David Scott. “This is a great opportunity for students to get community service hours in especially before graduation.”

The April 23rd Trash-Off is open to people of all ages, groups and organizations. Community service hours are available for those who need them certified. Advance registration is strongly recommended but not required.
