John Foster, owner of Entwined Vines Winery & Vineyards
How long have you been in business?
We’ve been open a little over three years.
In your words describe your business?
We offer a way to bring Oklahoma wines and other products to the consumer, straight from the field to the bottle or jar. Our company specializes in Oklahoma wines, jams, jellies and salsa.
What is your biggest challenge as a business owner?
Our main facility is located just west of Anadarko, but it is difficult to get drive-by traffic to stop in to the store. We are still working on getting a customer base out here.
What is the most rewarding part about your job?
All of it–I would say just working for myself and doing something that I’m compassionate about and providing a good quality product that our customers enjoy.
If you had a magic wand to fix anything in your business, what would you do?
There are two things that I would focus on which would be the size of the business so to grow it, and to update Oklahoma’s antiquated wine shipping laws. I think it would be a lot better if I could ship wine directly to the consumer.
Why is it important to join the Anadarko Chamber?
It is important to be part of the community. The Chamber is able to help the community and businesses with promotional outreach, hosting festivals, and general advertising.
Anything you would like to share with our audience?
Thanks to the community for supporting my business and make sure to come out and get wonderful made in Oklahoma products for the holidays. We are located 4 ½ miles west of Randlett Park on County Road 1340. The store is open Wednesday-Friday, 12:00-6:00 p.m. and Saturday 1:00-6:00 p.m. For more information call 405-320-0452.
