Anadarko Chamber of Commerce Honors Hometown Heroes

Banner project to recognize local Caddo County veterans

Anadarko, OK – The Anadarko Chamber of Commerce is offering a chance for your family to recognize the veterans and active duty military personnel who have served our country and represented Caddo County. These personalized banners can be purchased for a one-time $200 fee. They will be displayed throughout the year during the months of May (Memorial Day, Armed Forces Day), July (Independence Day) and November (Veterans Day) for the lifetime of the banner.

“Our board saw an opportunity to recognize the people who have served in our country’s military and add to the beautification of our city,” said David Scott, Anadarko Chamber Executive Director. “We are launching these banner sales during November as we recently honored Veterans Day and it coincides with Military Families Month.”

Personalized banners will be two feet wide by four feet high and will include the hero’s picture, name, rank and branch of service. Businesses are also encouraged to purchase sponsored banners that showcase the company’s name and general support for our veterans. In order to purchase a banner please call David at the Anadarko Chamber 405-247-6651 or email david@anadarkochamber.org for more information. We will need a digital copy of the photo you would like to use along with the veteran’s information. There will be limited space available so please get your order in early.

Our example banner shown is of Rufus Vance Jr. who was a local business owner and former city councilor who passed away in 2018. He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
