14th Annual Am Jam Skateboard Tournament

Anadarko, OK – The 14th Annual Am-Jam Skateboard Tournament was held on Saturday, May 19th, 2018 at Rotary Park in Anadarko. This is the longest running skateboard contest in the state of Oklahoma and is hosted by the Anadarko Chamber of Commerce. In addition to the competition, the organizers added new elements to this year’s event including free activities such as rock wall climbing, bounce house, power bounces, and live music!

“Our goal is to grow this event into a bigger festival style event that not only includes the skate competition but also has fun for the whole family,” said Chamber Director David Scott.

The competition includes four categories which are beginner, intermediate, advanced, and old man. Each year over $1,000 in cash and prizes are given out and this year’s winners are as follows:

Help us Name our New Anadarko Chamber Mascot!

Anadarko, OK – The Anadarko Chamber of Commerce is seeking suggestions for names of its new mascot which is a bison. They are asking the Anadarko community and supporters to help name the Chamber’s mascot.

“The idea of having a character to help us grow our brand identity is something unique,” said Executive Director David Scott. “We think it is a fun idea to bring awareness for the Chamber and to help us promote our local businesses, events and tourist sites.”

You can choose between three suggestions which are “Buddy”, “Bo”, and “Dodge” but there is also an option to write-in your own. Participants have until May 15th, 2018 to vote for their favorite name or to make a write-in suggestion. Please visit anadarkochamber.org/mascot to cast your vote.
