Hundreds participate in City of Anadarko’s Hoppy Day

ANADARKO, OK – The City of Anadarko held an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 8th, 2017, from noon – 3:00 p.m. in the inaugural “Hoppy Day” Celebration!

Hundreds of people gathered to enjoy the afternoon in Randlett Park where kids ages 0-11 were encouraged to participate in various egg-related games such as the following: Egg Relay, Sack Race, Egg Roll, Egg Toss, Bounce House, and actual Egg Hunt. The Easter Bunny was also in attendance taking photos with kids.

K.I.G. Food Truck, the Bureau of Indian Affairs Command Unit, the Anadarko Police and Fire Departments vehicles and crew were on hand to meet participants and take photos. Jo’s Burgers also served breakfast for volunteers before the event.

The City of Anadarko initiated the idea for this event and many community businesses and partners joined to sponsor and put on the program. City leadership has taken strides in recent months to make improvements in the park and those efforts are paying off through providing a great community space to enjoy.
